Intense Interest in Istanbul Culture Route Festival Exhibitions
The 13th stop of the Türkiye Culture Route Festival, organized by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism to contribute to Turkey's brand value in 16 cities this year, has begun in Istanbul. The "Pablo Picasso - A Journey from Painting to Ceramics" exhibition at the Atatürk Cultural Center (AKM) brings together 170 original works, including engravings, drawings, posters, lithographs, and photographs by Pablo Picasso, all verified by his heirs.
The "Warhol's World - The Icon of Pop Art" exhibition, featuring the work of Andy Warhol, one of the key figures of Pop Art who foresaw all the paradigm shifts since the 1960s, will also be open to visitors at AKM until December 31. The "Leonardo Da Vinci - The Renaissance Genius" exhibition will meet viewers at the Lale Museum throughout the festival. The collection, consisting of 230 pieces, including more than 100 invention models by Da Vinci, blends the past with modern knowledge, offering visitors a contemporary and impressive interpretation of Da Vinci's legacy. The exhibition "Frida Kahlo's Diaries," which is inspired by Frida Kahlo's personal journals and has garnered significant global interest, is being presented for the first time in Turkey as part of the Culture Route Festival. Open until October 26 at the Grand Pera Historical Building, the exhibition takes viewers on an artistic journey through Frida Kahlo's inner world.
The new project "Dreams of Earth: Anatolia" by new media artist Refik Anadol, known for creating unique artworks using data and pixels, is also on display at the AKM Grand Theatre Foyer as part of the festival. In addition, numerous exhibitions, ranging from digital art to traditional arts, will be available across various points of the city. The festival, which spans from the Anatolian side to the European side of Istanbul, will host more than 500 events at over 100 venues.
