The statue of Marcus Aurelius in the Cleveland Museum of Art in the United States is being returned to Turkey after a long period of scientific and legal work. This bronze statue depicting the ancient Roman Emperor Marcus Aurelius was smuggled from the ancient city of Boubon in Burdur in the 1960s. As a result of the cooperation with the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the Manhattan District Attorney's Office in New York and the US Homeland Security Investigations Unit, it was scientifically proven that the artefact belongs to the Sebasteion structure in Boubon. Based on the analyses and eyewitness testimonies, the US authorities decided to return the statue to Turkey. Although the Cleveland Museum of Art applied to the court and requested the cancellation of the decision, scientific tests conducted in May 2024 confirmed that the statue was of Boubonian origin. The museum withdrew its objection and accepted the return process. This development was recorded as a major victory in Turkey's struggle to protect its cultural heritage.

A tourist who lost their luggage at Antalya Airport requested our assistance in finding their missing belongings. Consequently, we submitted an official petition to the airport police, requesting an examination of the CCTV footage.
