The statue of Marcus Aurelius in the Cleveland Museum of Art in the United States is being returned to Turkey after a long period of scientific and legal work. Based on the analyses and eyewitness testimonies, the US authorities decided to return the statue to Turkey. Although the Cleveland Museum of Art applied to the court and requested the cancellation of the decision, scientific tests conducted in May 2024 confirmed that the statue was of Boubonian origin.
